Birds of Hawaii

Our most exotic state is home to many wonderful birds, both native and non-native.  Common birds in Hawaii include the Myna, Zebra Dove, Red-Crested Cardinal, Bul-Bul, Waxbill, and Shama Thrush.

Visitors to Hawaii will enjoy seeing birds in a variety of habitats, from shoreline to forests.  Consider including a guided birding tour in your Hawaii vacation plans.

The Alabama Ornithological Society website offers a printable checklist of Alabama birds.

If you want to attract more birds to your yard, naturally, try some of the tips in this article by an Alabama Cooperative Extension Agent.  Attract birds through landscape design.
